Half Smooth Bench Strop

Measures 8" x 3". Double sided bare leather hand held field strop with polycarbonate core. The grain (smooth) side of the leather on one side of the strop gives a super mirror polish when using an ultra fine paste type compound that will soak into the leather. The other side of the strop is rough-out, for use with any compound. Core cannot lose it's flat surface, nor can it be broken without using tons of force. This material has zero potential to swell, warp or crack when exposed to moisture. The leather has a very low acid content and has not been pretreated with any compound. Designed specifically for honing convex edge knives. Bulk packed.
